Many children with Down syn= drome face life-threatening heart conditions like AVSD and VSD=2C but due= to limited resources=2C access to life-saving surgeries is often unavaila= ble. This mission will address that gap by providing surgeries and care to= children in desperate need. From March 20th to 30TH=2C a team of 16 medical professionals=2C led by re= nowned pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. William Novick=2C will perform surger= ies and train local healthcare providers at Parirenyatwa Hospital. The mis= sion=2C in partnership with Cardiac Alliance=2C will bring world-class exp= ertise to Zimbabwe=2C offering not just treatments but the foundation for= sustainable=2C long-term improvements in local cardiac care. HEART= -TO-HEART SURGICAL MISSION


In= March 2025=2C the Makhosi M= ichaela Foundation will hos= t the Heart to Heart Surgica= l Mission in Harare=2C Zimb= abwe=2C aiming to change the lives of children born with congenital heart= defects. Many children with Down syndrome face life-threatening heart con= ditions like AVSD and VSD=2C but due to limited resources=2C access to lif= e-saving surgeries is often unavailable. This mission will address that ga= p by providing surgeries and care to children in desperate need.

From <= /span>March 20th to 30TH=2C a team of 16 medical professionals= =2C led by renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. William Novick=2C will perform surgeries and train local healthcare providers= at Parirenyatwa Hospital. The mission=2C in partnershi= p with Cardiac Alliance=2C will bring world-class exper= tise to Zimbabwe=2C offering not just treatments but the foundation for su= stainable=2C long-term improvements in local cardiac care.

T= he mission focuses on "15 Children =E2=80=93 15 Hearts=2C" with each surge= ry giving a child the opportunity for a healthier=2C brighter future.
